Finance Committee
Responsibility: To coordinate with the Treasurer and the Executive Director to present to the Commission the Annual Budget of the Commission, and any amendments thereto; provide oversight and to make recommendation concerning the accounting and financial reporting practices related to all matters under the supervision of the Commission; provide oversight and make recommendations concerning financial institutions to harbor the Commission’s funds, the process and procedures for issuing checks or issuing payment requests to the State of North Carolina, money management practices, and funds transferred to Friends of Elizabeth II, Inc.; and, provide oversight and make recommendations to the Commission with respect to the Roanoke Island Commission Fund and the Roanoke Island Commission Endowment Fund, as well as any other account held by the State or North Carolina or any financial institution on behalf of the Commission.
