The Performing Arts

From mesmerizing musicians to amazing magicians, and delightful dancers to soulful singers, a variety of performances are scheduled year round at Roanoke Island Festival Park. See our Calender of Events for dates and times.

Performance Series The Roanoke Island Festival Park Performance Series is available to all campuses of the University of North Carolina system as well as community-based non-profit performing arts groups supported with state or local funding. The talent is top-notch, and the drama, music and dance performances are free and open to the public.

4th Sunday @ 4 Music Series Musical guests are booked to appear on the 4th Sunday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Park’s Indoor Theatre. The series brings another dimension to our existing programming and a consistency of time, date and quality of a performing arts experience. Admission is included in the general admission ticket to the Park.

Summer Children's Series The 2010 Summer Children’s Performance Series will run from July 20- August 11, 2010. The top-quality performances are held in the Indoor Theatre at either 10:30 a.m. or 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 for the 7 p.m. performances. Admission is included in the general admission ticket to the park for the 10:30 a.m. performances. Both performance times are free to Friends of Elizabeth II members.

Holiday Events Roanoke Island Festival Park will hold a July 4th celebration that will feature East Carolina University, performing music by George M. Cohan at 8 p.m. The celebration will also include fireworks provided by the town of Manteo. Held at the park’s Pavilion, the celebration is free and open to the public.
