Welcome to Roanoke Island Festival Park! Thank you for considering our site for your event.
Funding from rental facilities at Roanoke Island Festival Park is used to support educational programming at the attraction which celebrates England’s first attempts to colonize the New World in the 1580’s. Visitors can experience seafaring life aboard the Elizabeth II, which represents one of the seven ships that carried colonists in 1585 from England to North America. Live the life of a soldier in the Settlement Site. Both venues feature interpreters in 16th century costume. Visitors can also learn about Coastal North Carolina Algonquian culture in the new American Indian Town and about Outer Banks and Roanoke Island history through the Adventure Museum’s hands-on exhibits. See the 45 minute docudrama The Legend of Two-Path, which dramatizes the American Indian perspective on English colonization. Enjoy the local landscape and environment on the boardwalks and pathways surrounding the Park.
